For over 30 years, AIM has provided professional training in television studio production and video production. In recent years, we’ve expanded our training to include such topics as web design, digital photography and editing, screenwriting and directing for narrative and documentary, advanced lighting and camera techniques, marketing media projects and a full complement of video editing courses.

Before taking classes at AIM you must first become a member with us. Then it all begins with our Introduction to Community Media course, a 3-hour workshop required of all new members. In one evening, this workshop provides a basic introduction to media literacy, community media and our production process here at AIM. From there, you can become certified to use our equipment and facilities through our Basic Classes in Field Production, Studio Production, Basic Editing and Premiere Pro. Or to delve deeper into the media-making process, check out our Master Classes. Take a look at the full class schedule for everything we have to offer.

We also offer classes for youth through our Youth Journalism Initiative and our Teen Summer Camps.

If you are interested in specialized media workshops for your organization or business, contact us. Our highly professional training staff will create a training schedule specifically tailored to your needs.
